Before school started, Dominique and I went on a very important and treacherous treasure hunt. We encountered many obstacles trying to seek a very special treasure. Dominique navigated and I was the back-up, just in case something happened to her.
The Lava Tava - seen here - is very dangerous. It is hot and you should be very careful not to fall into it. If you do, you can't keep treasure hunting because it is too hot for anyone to survive.
This is the scary cave with the confusing maze. You better be sure you know which direction you are going or you could get lost. If you get lost, you can be stuck in there FOR-E-VER!!
AND OF COURSE, WE GOT LOST!!
We didn't stay lost for long. We managed to back track through the maze and find our way onto the booby trapped floor. You had to do a special dance and step on special squares or you would set off the traps. Crazy swinging swords and flinging arrows awaited us if we made a mistake. 
After we found our way, we entered the swamp of many colors. The colors can make you want to stay for a long time, maybe even until you die. We worked very hard to navigate the treacherous place and managed to keep each other focused enough not to want to stay on the swamp.
Finally we made it to the magical treasure!! It was a lot of fun playing in the imagination of my daughter.
